Kindness and empathy are prerequisites for healthy relationships.?
Show me any quality connection and I promise kindness and empathy are critical ingredients.
We are living in uncertain times and it’s easy to let opinions obscure common decency.
People that assume they possess "absolute truth" shoving their opinions down other people’s throats. Many people believe they have the gift of exclusivity when it comes to knowledge.
Without kindness and empathy, it’s easy to let anger serve as a substitute which leads to unhealthy communication, bitterness and division.?
In the process, we miss an opportunity to resolve complex problems that require cooperation, honesty and resolve. Instead, we argue about ambiguous "ideas" that promote tribalism and hostility.
We are at a point in human history where people need to challenge themselves to be kind and exercise empathy, especially political leaders.?
Kindness is the key to promoting better conflict resolution, and it also encourages better health!

2 年Yet, kindness is considered a weakness nowadays to be taken advantage of. The kinder you are the more people take advantage of you and of your work. This is a message you get when reading some contemporary literature about pursuing a higher career. Sharing your good with others, telling people nice words do make you feel better. But while the recipients love your good, how are they feeling about you, the donor?
Just me and my profile
2 年I have long been an advocate of 'just be nice', costs nothing and has double benefits, makes you feel better and the person you are being nice/kind to, feel better as well. And smile, don't forget on the phone as well, it lifts your voice and people can tell double benefit again. We all need to come back out of lockdown with a positive attitude and live life to it''s fullest one more. Encourage other to get back on track be happy, be kind, be nice.
I am trying my best
