Kilo Outsider | Becoming Your Best Self: Work Strategies, Helping Others, and Social Clubs
Kilo Health
Dynamic company in digital health, with driven entrepreneurs. Thriving startup studio with 30+ successful products.
We're saying hello to you and goodbye to Q3. It feels like this quarter just flew by, doesn’t it? But maybe that’s what happens when there are so many activities, goals, and projects happening at your workplace bubble.
However, not every effort is heavily work-focused. We’re also talking about social initiatives, having fun outside of work, and being able to switch into growth mode quickly. So, what have we been up to? Let us give you a quick rundown.
Inside the mind of our CEO
“I firmly believe that when you decide to stop growing and focus solely on profitability or other aspects, you start losing the competitive battle. So, grow and always grow with discipline. Don’t be reckless — invest in the latest solutions as you grow. This ensures that you remain a leading player in your market rather than being overtaken by competitors.” says our CEO, ?ygimantas Surintas .
In his latest blog post, he talks about the fundamentals of business, and why you should never believe that success is a guarantee. Besides that, he reveals a few current HealthTech trends:
“We see a growing interest in hypnosis and various psychological approaches to health. Most tools available, including those from our company, are not sufficient on their own to solve people’s health problems. To make these tools effective, people need discipline, and they are seeking ways to strengthen that discipline.
Trends show that people are seeking more natural and interesting products to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This is a crucial part of our business — we analyze and search for the latest trends daily, proving that people care deeply about living healthily.” Check out the full article if you haven’t already here.
Kilo Health Catch-Up and the new CTO and CFO
Speaking of growing and recognizing what works, our recent quarterly meeting provided the perfect opportunity to align, reflect, and strategize for the future.
We started with our CEO, ?ygimantas Surintas , who recognized the hardships we’ve faced but emphasized the milestones we’ve reached. His vision for the rest of the year focused on key priorities that will drive us forward.
Our CPO, Ilona Bernotaite , focused on?keeping our people motivated as a top priority. She shared insights from the latest eNPS results and discussed how we can improve employee satisfaction and foster stronger engagement.
In a more operational sense, Head of Digital Wellness Tomas Jakimavicius delivered an important message on staying accountable and flexible. His advice to act quickly when something feels wrong resonated with everyone.
These meetings help us celebrate wins, learn from challenges, and stay connected as we grow.
We’re also excited to introduce two new leaders to Kilo Health.
Vaidrius Verikas, FCAA has joined us as Chief Finance Officer, bringing a wealth of experience in finance and business. Having him on board promises some interesting coffee breaks, and we’re excited to work and learn alongside him.
Vladislav Grablevskij , our new Chief Technology Officer, comes from companies like IBM, Inchcape Digital, Telia, and Rimi. He’s led tech teams in places like the Nordics, Baltics, Qatar, India, Colombia, and the Philippines. We’re excited to have him on our team to help us grow further.
Social initiatives of the quarter
Summer is sometimes about rest, fun, and sun. But for us it also usually is about social initiatives and helping others. Let us share a few ways we helped others this quarter:
Addere Care retirement home
"Old" is just a mindset — and the residents of Addere Care retirement home are living proof. They didn’t just tell us, they showed us. We brought our families (and pets!) to spend some heartwarming time with the grandmas and grandpas who are, and always have been:
We even had the honor of playing tennis with a 100-year-old player! What started as a visit to brighten their day turned into an exchange of laughter, stories, and inspiration.

If you were to start exploring which services for children and young people in Lithuania need more attention, you would find out that young adults and teens are a key focus. It’s tough being a teenager — they deal with self-doubt, anxiety, and uncertainty about the future.
To help, it’s important for them to have someone they can rely on for support during these challenging times.
At Kilo Health, we have a lot of inspiring people who were also once —?just teenagers trying to figure out life. That’s why we rolled up our sleeves and began mentoring these young people and helping them with social integration, motivation, and making important life decisions.
Each mentor was paired up with a teenager and connected with them every two to three weeks. They spent time together, sharing valuable life lessons. It’s like everyone gets to be a big brother or sister for a while.
“Future Heroes” by WoW University
We believe that girls aged 14-17 have the potential to make a real impact on the world, so we stepped in to introduce them to the startup world!
"Some of their business ideas were very similar to the products we have, and we’re excited to mentor and support their entrepreneurial journey," says our CPO, Ilona Bernotaite .
The young entrepreneurs visited our Kilo Health headquarters, receiving valuable career advice along the way. We hope they left feeling inspired, and we can't wait to see what these future innovators come up with next.
Meta Summit in Warsaw: Learning, teaching, and winning
Our creative team attended the Meta Summit, where they had an incredible time exploring META practices, UGC-style content, influencer strategies, and video creation techniques. Learning from the best, as we say.
But Kilo Health people weren’t just the learners, we were also the teachers — Our COO, Rita Janu?auskait? , took the stage as a speaker and revealed her thoughts on supercharging marketing efforts with AI. Look at her go:
To cap off the event, a Kahoot quiz was held, with the top three participants winning Meta Quest headsets. We're proud to say that not one, but two spots were taken by our Kilo team members.?
edON x Kilo Health crash course
Finding the right specialists can be tough, especially when there aren't a lot of them in the market. That’s why we believe a creative approach can make a big difference.
We were looking for Media Buyers and, together with edON , by using the ‘train-to-hire’ concept, we’re providing training to help people learn these valuable skills and step into their new careers. After reviewing more than 400 applications, we narrowed it down to 16 promising candidates who just finished 5 weeks of intensive training, which helped them be one step closer to becoming the best specialists in the field.
The course that was specifically designed for Kilo Health concluded on September 28th, and soon we will be offering job contracts to the top performers.
Starting the season 2 of social clubs
You see your colleagues at the office, maybe catch up after hours, and occasionally join team-building events. But here, we take it further. We've embraced new experiences, explored hobbies, and built stronger connections through our social clubs initiative.
Season 1 was a huge success! From the art club to brain battles, gourmet adventures, basketball games, and even a DJ club, the engagement showed that this is what people really need. Our DJ crew even performed at internal events, and the Brainy club organized an exciting “Auksinis Protas” event.
After a summer break, we’re back with a fresh season of social clubs — this time with even more activities suggested by Kilo people, like forest bathing and investing. We’ll try to update you how these two will play out.
That’s a wrap for this quarter! It’s been productive, fun, and a reminder to stay connected to what we love while always giving back. Catch you in the next newsletter!
You guys, or someothers disguised as you, have stolen $$ from my wife's PayPal account .... I read in the PayPal members forum, over 480 complaints from others that this has happened to them, too. What's the game, huh?
