Killing two birds with one X...!

Killing two birds with one X….!

Is this the pivotal moment, where bashing will now change to patting…?

Let’s delve deeper and breakdown this cryptic line piece-by-piece!

We all know that Elon Musk took over Twitter and rebranded it to 'X' earlier this week, but exactly what factors played a role in his decision-making?

In his own words, he decided to change the name of this massive enterprise to “X”, because he felt that the social media website was evolving over time and the initial name “Twitter” ceased to remain relevant any longer.

The site had introduced many updates over the last few years, from tweets of just 140 characters to long-form content, from videos of just 140 seconds to more detailed videos lasting for hours. In all of this, the term “Twitter” had lost its meaning and didn’t do justice to its features anymore!

Didn’t get how these changes are relevant to this decision of re-branding twitter?

Well, the name 'twitter' was based on how birds communicate with each other. Which is why the posts were called 'tweets', a term that mimicked the sound that birds make. With longer posts now taking over the platform, those terminologies weren’t relatable any longer.

Another thing, this site isn’t just about people navigating different topics like curious birds, but also prioritising User-Generated-Content to keep its users engaged.

Let’s have a comprehensive look at what this plans entail:

Elon Musk wants to add a marketplace platform where people can purchase or sell goods.

Just like WeChat, a vision of making it easier for people to even book a cab or any other appointments through 'X' someday.

Also, to make it easier? for the influencers to earn money from any viral content…? earlier versions of this app didn't pay influencers.

When I look at this guy, I am not able to help but applaud his business aptitude. He reminds me of James Hatman from my best seller 'New York to New You'. He had a futuristic vision and an ability to transform dead companies into thriving ecosystems.

There are many parallels between the journey of James Hatman from my book and the evolution of 'X' company, which can be best summarised by this phrase; "Life is all about moving from one adventure to the next. Each one of us have to discover it"
