1. Roll Your Shoulders (Not Your Eyes)

If you're anything like me, it's impossible to stand perfectly straight all day long (sorry mom!). As busy professionals, there's just too much going on to think about posture all the time. The good news is I just need you to roll your shoulders down and back at the moment your photo is taken. A good photographer will help you remember, just like mom. So I want you to roll your shoulders right now, take a deep breath.. feels good?

2. Sweet Memories!

Smile from your heart if you want to look real and make people trust you! Often we smile because we need to, but camera will catch it the way you will show. Think about what do you want to communicate with your portrait? Say your message out loud and stay focused during whole set! If you will think about doubts or fears cause you are "not photogenic" this gonna be the message in your eyes and face. Think twice about it and send your message to the world! Think about something heartwarming: family, people you love, project you proud of or outstanding photos you will get :) This will make you look beautiful!

For your profile pictures or a dating page chose the close which make you feel good about yourself and you feel in your skin. 4. Personality! 

Era of the headshots is far behind! Head pictures with white background and blinding flash is only for ID's now. There is time to be authentic, to be real, to show who you are! Let people see your personality! Your hands will help you to do that. Position of your hands will help you to express yourself. Use objects and accessorizes but only if they will add sense to your portrait without becoming a subject of the photo. Location is another big helper for your self expression . Studio where you create your muster pieces, or your office where you closing huge deals, or the beach where you like to read, maybe the gallery, coffeeshop or a park where you coming to have a good time and find inspiration. It's up to you, but only can help photographer to show your personality the way you want! Be yourself! There is no other you on the planet Earth! You are unique and you are amazing! Don't try to be anyone else but YOU! Follow your heart and stand for your truth! 

5. Striking chin!

"Not photogenic people" are not exist! Camera can make anyone look beautiful and everyone have a bad pictures! Just imagine that before taking photo somebody will telling you how exactly put your chin down or slightly turn your head on a side and walk you through different positions but without "modeling" over-posing. There is so many ways how you can make camera work for you. On corporate pictures and fast phone snaps, nobody looks the best. Personal branding photographer will not just find your best angle, but pose and guide you for each angle to make it look the best! Photo gene is a myth! Stop believe in it right now! Confidence will show in a photo, and it is the key from being photogenic!
