Have you ever sat down and analyzed what work truly creates money and what doesn’t?

Does your service delivery involve hours upon hours of you working but not really doing anything? This is called busy work and it is the killer of your time & money! Everything that is not 100% necessary to get you new clients or service the clients you already have is busy work.

Have a look at your daily routine and determine how many hours you are wasting on busy work. Replying useless emails, talking over the phone for stupid reasons, siting and just thinking about what needs to be done etc.

You will be surprised to see how many hours you are wasting on unnecessary stuff. So let’s fix this problem and start using those hours wasted.

Redesign your daily routine:

Set aside specific days for specific tasks.

Days for client acquisition, days for service delivery, days for admin, days for strategic planning etc.

Let’s say you have services like VAT returns or financial statements to do for your clients – set aside entire days for these types of services. You are not allowed to answer emails, talk over the phone or be bothered by anybody until that work is finished.

Every time you get interrupted you lose focus on the task at hand and your productivity drops significantly! Use all your focus and attention to one thing and one thing only.

Once you start truly focusing, you will work more efficient and accurate.

Do not plan to far ahead unless you are doing strategic planning.

Best practice is to plan tomorrow today.

Set aside one hour before you go to bed to plan and write down everything that you need to do tomorrow. Then when you wake up you don’t need to think about anything, you just start working immediately.

Stop wasting your time with busy work and unnecessary stuff that does not make you money!
