Kids have that innocence which wins

I was sitting in my room contemplating how the year 2020 went by with so many Covid-19 cases- the highs, the lows, the learnings, the realizations - when my little girl entered the room: She: What are you thinking?

I: I’m just thinking how this year was for me. How was it for you?

She: It was the best year. Everyone in the family was together always

I: haha, agreed. And what all did you learn from 2020?

She, promptly: Oh, I learned how to make a pdf on the phone.

I burst out laughing. She never fails to bring a smile to my face

Another story now. Last year in Feb, my cousin sister along with her 5 years daughter came to our home for a week or two. Initially I was thinking it would cause a distraction in my preparations. But gradually, I started enjoying the company of my cute lil baby. It was so refreshing. She never failed to amaze me by her charming attitude. But I couldn't spend much time with her of course due to studies.

So one cold morning she asked me , “Masi, why do u study so late in night. U know, I couldn't sleep because of u the whole night”.

Me: Accha bacchu, I was studying in the table lamp & lights of ur room were off, so how could u get disturbed, hnn!!

She: Idk anything. I just wanna play with u. Let's play doctor-doctor. (She had a doctor set with her)

She just wanted to spend more time with me.

Meanwhile my di: Baby, for becoming a real doctor, one has to study really hard & masi wants to be one so don't disturb her.

She: Really, she is going to be a doctor.

Di: Yes baby, u can also become one in the future but u have to study like masi for that.

She: Ok, then who works under a doctor??

Di: Nurse baccha.

I was listening to their conversation carefully while doing my work. Then after a few seconds. She replied: Fine then, I would become a nurse. I can't study that much. I have so many important things to do. I have to dress up, dance, click pictures & so many. My di & I glanced at each other's face & started smiling. Di: Oh my baby, u r so stupid & cute too. ??

She: Common masi, let's play. I would be the nurse & u doctor.

I was so surprised by her innocence. Everything was so simple for her. But we adults have lot of confusions & complications in our life. ???

Each small kid is Krishna. Let us discuss about Lord Krishna, he was naughty, loving as every child and did many mischievous things but always made cute face after doing so. Child is like same, they do what they like, they can break anything, they can do any act which we may find danger but they do it without hesitant. They love their act and that's what make them cute. A child troubles his mother by doing mischievous things and it grabs her attention. A child is so innocent that they don't know the meaning of “Mine and yours” as Krishna said, “Makhan is Makhan, how can it be yours or mine?”

A child’s mother died in an accident. Seeing that the child is too small to lose his mom, the father remarried. He was a busy man, in the sales department of a company, so he barely had time for his son, indeed it was a good choice to marry. One evening, he returned home early. It was a half day. He saw his son watching cartoons in T.V. He went there and asked in a comforting tone, “son, who is best? your first mom or this one?”

Son answered innocently, “I don’t know papa. But my first mom was a liar. This mom speaks truth.” Dad was astonished. “What? He asked.” “Yes”, continued the son. “Previously when I played for too long in noon, my mom would say that she won’t give me dinner today, but still she would always feed me with her hands and never did what she said.” “This mom says the same, but doesn’t give me food really.” “That mom was liar, this mom isn’t.” There was a small silence. They both watched cartoon silently, while it was raining inside. Cheers!
