KIDS CAN SWIM
Precautions for outdoor water safety:
-Check water temperature first, before letting the kids in. Make sure it is comfortable for you and your kids.
-If a child is shivering and experiencing muscle cramps, get him or her out of the water immediately. This is because it is a lot easier for the body temperature to drop quickly in water than on land and not as easy for the body to heat up itself while in water.
-Kids should drink plenty water to prevent dehydration, especially when they are active and sweating under the sun.
-Procure proper fitting flotation devices and eye goggles, and have the children wear them whenever near water if they don't know how to swim. In case they are accidentally pushed or fall into the pool.
FINALLY:
Children need constant supervision around water even if you feel they know how to swim.
