KIDNEY DISEASE/FAILURE IS ON THE RISE!

Scary, right?
But have you ever bothered to find out the reason why?
There are many, but let's tackle the most common reasons of them all consistently affecting our African society in particular today:
1. Not drinking enough water regularly everyday, especially in the hot/dry seasons, is a contributing factor. Avoid being dehydrated for long as much as possible!
2. Daily consumption of any native or foreign bitters like 'agbo', dogonyaro, pawpaw leaf juices, and so on, can impact negatively on the Kidneys (see photo above). That's drug abuse, because these bitters are actually medicines too. But most of us only see those cards of round stones or capsules as drugs not to be taken without proper prescription by medical professionals. Meanwhile same applies to the use of ANY herbal medicine.
3. Bleaching Creams!!!
Yes, you heard that right! Bleaching creams affects the kidneys adversely. Not to mention the exposure of yourself to melanoma (skin cancer). Many claim to use & sell "organic half-caste soaps and lotions/creams" today. It's a pity! For the records, anything truly organic NEVER BLEACHES YOU! As for those of you claiming to use these harmful skin products under the guise of just "toning your skins" to glow a bit more, kindly answer this question: what is the difference between drinking water and sipping water?

. . . anything truly organic NEVER BLEACHES YOU!
4. Flee from ALCOHOLISM! You are not enjoying life with your "hommies" as many people often deceive themselves into thinking when hanging out nearly every night or weekend in beer parlours with friends. You are not enjoying life, dear brother/sister! You are simply dying a slow, irretrievable death ignorantly sponsored by you.
If you must take anything alcoholic, do so in moderation and very rarely. Or at best, abstain from drinking completely!
5. Always adding an excess of SALTS when preparing meals, or frequently eating salty foods and junks.
Excess salt intake will make the kidneys work harder to excrete the excess salt and can lead to decreased kidney function. This excess sodium will cause water retention, giving birth to edema. Edema usually elevates blood pressures and increases the risk of developing kidney disease. Limit your salt intake around 5 grams a day.
Conclusively, water remains our Kidneys number one and only best friend. Healthy detox diets or juices may follow suit.
Let's save the Kidneys today, friends! For the love of organic living...
