Kiddocare was a pseudo-tech company

While we have always promoted ourselves as a company that cares, Kiddocare is, at its core, a tech company.

Some might be shocked to learn that when we started in 2019, our platform for connecting trained babysitters with families was essentially a Google Form embedded in a simple website. We needed to act quickly to meet a pressing demand, and cutting-edge tech was out of our reach. So, we innovated with what we had.

We recruited babysitters (some of whom are still with us), had them interviewed and trained at our office, and for our very first service, we had one of our colleagues follow the babysitter to the client’s house. Because we wanted to ensure her safety, and that the whole service was monitored until the end. Safe to say, our first service went well, and that kick started it all.?

By the time we launched our first app in June 2022, we had already served thousands of families and provided income to thousands of women across Malaysia.?

Launching that first app turbocharged our growth. By 2024, we have cared for over 90,000 children and empowered 12,000 Malaysian women economically as professional babysitters, all because we took the bold step to "fake" it as a tech company.

Since June 2022, we have faced countless challenges with our Apps, affecting both clients and Kiddocarers. However, we have consistently listened to user feedback and are always ready to improve.

Soon, we will introduce some essential new features to our app that will benefit a broader audience, beyond just parents. This app is for caregivers, anyone in the sandwich generation ie. every single one of us. It’s an app meant for everyone.
