KickStarter Journal Day 22-24

Day 24 of my KickStarter campaign is about to end. After almost a week without any new backers we got 3 today. We are now 86% funded. Today is an AWESOME day!

What can I attribute to the additional backers? The lesson for today is on persistance. Although I don't want to be a bother to my friends and family, I'm really passionate about my book and I want to see it succeed. So instead of just waiting around I reached out to some of my friends and reminded them that my campaign was coming to a close and I asked if they could help.

In the Matthew 7:7 Jesus says,  “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

One thing that I learned in my journey with God is that He wants us to be persistent. The word says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, “Pray without ceasing.” In Galatians 6:9 the word says, “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” And in Luke 18:1 Jesus tells His disciples to always pray and never give up.

God calls us to ask, seek and knock. Not once but multiple times. I can honestly say the things that I treasure most are things that I persistently pursued. So don’t lose heart, in due season you will reap if you pray without ceasing.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
