Dipanwesh Das was always a sports enthusiast. Considering his immense passion for sports, his parents enrolled him in a boxing club, The Crossfit Club, in Burdwan. Hence, began the athletic journey for the aspiring youngster.
I was always quite satisfied being a mediocre student, but I knew I had big goals and dreams.
Ever since I began training under my coach, Debajyoti Sir, I aimed to become a renowned boxer.
After finishing high school, I leveled up my boxing practice under my coach's strict guidance. After years of learning the various forms of boxing, I grew a strong interest to learn kickboxing. Since kickboxing is quite divergent from Boxing combat sports, my trainer created a strict training schedule for me that comprised comprehensive theoretical and practical kickboxing training courses, improved physical training, and diet.
Every morning I woke up at 4:30 am, went for an hour-long run, ate breakfast at 6:30 am, and trained nonstop from 7:30 am to 11:00 am.
When I got home, instead of relaxing, I learned more about the sport through online lectures and took careful notes. Then I finished my strength training for two hours nonstop at 5 pm. This routine was maintained for four months, before being accepted to a college.
Early in college to balance both lectures and boxing practice my coach guided me to devise a new schedule. My morning schedule remained the same, and during my lunch break in college, I studied online videos & did some shadow practice. Later, after college hours ended at 6:30 pm, I went straight to my club, practiced for three to four hours, then reviewed my college lectures and went to bed at a reasonable time.
