After having the real privilege of actually meeting and speaking and seeing him up close and personal Mr. Walter Trout is a living legend. Back in 2002 Walter Trout & his band the Radicals put on a show of shows. The tremendous talent is always there and will always be. Walter, himself is a very personal person, who just what you see is what you get, with the exception of his guitar playing, that is where he makes larger than life footprints or in this case fingerprints all over the stage and his guitar. Being heavily influenced by Bob Dylan and other early music artist Walter plainly put rips into every song with true passion and emotion. With the release of "Battle Scars" which showcases his raw and awesome ability to grab your ears tight and don't let go until they bleed or your ear drums are ringing severely. No wonder this album has gained him two awards one song of the year and Best Rock Blues album in Memphis TN. The song "Gonna live again" seems very fitting for him since his recovery from liver failure and hospital stay in 2013, Walter remains a contender in the blues scene. Walter and his latest work called "Live from Amsterdam" is just that, this album gives a small glimpse into really how awesome and powerful blues guy Walter really is, no way of explaining how the real "Live" show is but incredible. One must be at his shows to actually observe this. This album really showcases Walter's ability to Kick some serious butt and take no prisoners while doing that. I can actually say I now see why time after time Walter is voted in the top 10 guitarists of all time. Walter has for sure paid his dues, and is forever "Relentless" in his pursuit in playing just plain "kick Butt" blues. As for me I am proud to have met Walter and also had the real pleasure of seeing him in show as well. I wish him well in all he does in his future and may God Bless Walter & his family and the blues forever.
