This summer, the SIMAS project kicked off with a convivial evening event. High-caliber participants from the consortium, including DNV, Fraunhofer, ATLAS ELEKTRONIK, PTJ, and we from FEV etamax, were present. The evening provided the perfect opportunity for in-depth technical exchange and personal introductions. On the kick-off day itself, another highlight followed: an exclusive tour of ATLAS ELEKTRONIK which granted us deep insights into the world of cutting-edge technology in the defense industry.

At the heart of the SIMAS Project: Integrating AI systems in the maritime environment

The SIMAS project focuses on the integration of AI systems in the maritime environment. To date, there has been no methodology according to the state of the art and science to secure artificial intelligence in the context of maritime autonomous systems. SIMAS is therefore developing an innovative approach that takes into account the special challenges of the maritime environment and the complexity of AI and can be used for comprehensive security in the future.
