Kicking off the City of Philadelphia Citywide LED Streetlighting Conversion Project
Evari GIS Consulting is proud to kick off our work on the?the Citywide LED Streetlighting Conversion Project for the City of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Energy Authority . Under the leadership of our partner Ameresco , we are proud to play a small but critical role on this important project for the City and the region.?
Projects of this scale and complexity are about a lot more than energy savings and meeting lighting standards. Street lighting has a direct impact on transportation safety, equity, urban planning, economic development, environmental and dark skies.
Evari will provide turnkey data management services to assist in the conversion of approximately 120,000 streetlights from older, High Pressure Sodium (HPS) to modern LED luminaires.
At the completion of the initial field audit phase of the project, our team will have taken at least seven photos at each street light and collected, created and/or managed approximately 50 different fields of data. Everything from proposed and existing wattages to the mast arm lengths to conditions assessments at each street light will be collected, reviewed, and incorporated into a comprehensive lighting system database. We bring leading-edge GIS technology to these projects to realize optimum outcomes.
Evari staff will play key roles in project planning, field audit, lighting design decisions, installation support, post-construction inspection, and data integration with the City’s existing asset management workflows.?
