TEAM NEWS: Supporting Mental Health during the Winter Blues

As we enter the start of a new year, it's common to feel a bit down after the excitement (and expense) of the festive season. The combination of shorter days, colder weather, and post-holiday stress all contribute. To empower our team and enhance their mental health awareness, we were delighted to welcome LCH Training to our Head Office in December for the FAA Level 2 qualification in First Aid for Mental Health.

This intensive one-day course has equipped our team with essential skills to recognise and support a range of mental health conditions, manage stress, and understand the impact of substance abuse.

With this training, our staff are now well-prepared to initiate supportive conversations, direct colleagues to professional help when needed, and cultivate a positive mental health culture within our workplace.

HOUSEBUILDING NEWS: Did you know the UK is facing a major 'green skills' shortage?

This deficit in green skills is particularly concerning as the industry aims to build 1.5 million new homes over the next five years. The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has highlighted that the demand for skilled workers in the housebuilding sector is 'white hot', and an additional 250,000 workers will be needed by 2028 to meet this demand.
