On 2023 skill development:?“I'm looking to continue upping my game as a leader to my team. Secondly, I want to be a better Director for RGC. Not only does that include the people management component but a ‘helping take the company in new directions’ component. Exploring new territories is one element, offering different services to our clients like retained search, contract recruiters or more corporate solutions. And lastly, the big question on the minds of all staffing professionals - new and exciting ways to find great candidates.”
Standout career moment (& giggle):?“I had a candidate out for an IT support role. I presented her and she interviewed well. The next day the hiring manager calls me and says, ‘Ok so we're making her an offer. No need to conduct references.’ I was shocked because they normally had quite the background check process. I asked what changed and the hiring manager said, ‘The candidate's current manager is my husband!!’ Must have been an awkward dinner. 'Hey honey, I'm stealing your best employee. Please pass the corn."
