Kicking Ass and Taking Names!

Kicking Ass and Taking Names!

It was a enlightening experience at Adobe Summit last week in Vegas. Not only did we get to speak in front of an amazing audience (nearly 400 representatives from across a multitude of industries), but we also were able to showcase the hard work our teams have been able to accomplish in such a short timeframe.

Hiring the right people, employing the right process, putting order to our data, and deploying the right tech all had complexities in Brightline's transformation game. Hard, yes! But, they have been key to our strategy as we grow this business. Getting buy-in from leadership was challenging in the beginning. Small wins, I believe, built the right trust for us to continue to innovate. Nothing has been more impactful than putting the right strategy together and simply getting shit done (GSD). Sticking to our guns, delivering in MVP fashion, and failing forward made us stronger, more confident, and ready for anything ahead.

At Summit, being around peers who own the same products as you and understand what it takes to make it work was humbling. Hearing all the great questions about how we got it done so quickly and efficiently was inspiring. The validation you feel when a room full of strangers makes you recognize that your passion and your dedication does indeed payoff is powerful. I am honored to have been invited to do this and I am appreciative for the warm reception.

I personally walked away from Summit feeling inspired, invigorated, and most importantly, respectful of what I have at Brightline Trains and what my team has enabled. ?

Now, with all the words said, here's our session – I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed the conversation with Michael Colombo :

Additionally, our teams put an amazing MVP out the door in web and app that focused first on selling seats on trains (which is what I spoke about in our session above). It has been incredible to see the growth since we moved to a whole new platform and tech stack (powerful results in our transformation). So, it is an incredible honor to see, while we didn’t win a Webby, we were honorees next to some pretty cool companies in the Travel and Lifestyle space:

See you next year Adobe and Webby – we have way more shit to do and way more to prove!!!
