Kiama Council Housing and Growth Strategy

At last Wednesday’s Kiama Council’s meeting,? the council resolved to review its housing and growth strategy and report back to council in February 2025. Of particular interest, a key recommendation presented for the review was for the strategy to:

“Provide more detail to articulate housing supply include the spatial distribution, temporal expectations (5-year, 20-year) and housing type (infill, centres, greenfield)”

?

This recommendation has a very similar tone to the Allen Price submission from August 2024 which called for a more evidenced based approach to future housing growth in Kiama.
