Keysight introduces FEC/FLR aware HPC interconnect test solutions at IBTA Plugfest #39

Keysight has published an InfiniBand Trade Association (IBTA) draft Method of Implementation (MOI) outlining the use of a G800GE 800G full 8 channel Forward Error Correction (FEC) aware test solution operating with a multi-channel M8040 Precision 64G BERT and?Infiniium DCA Equivalent-time Sampling Oscilloscope to drive full FEC framed packets operating at or near the modules input minimum electrical spec limits.??This permits the observing of a Frame Loss Ratio (FLR) measurement across the 8 channel wide interface with maximum allowable electrical impairment for the first time.?The goal of this test configuration is to offer the most comprehensive stress and realistic FEC aware error analysis for Active Optical Cables (AOC) and Active Copper Cables (ACC) high performance (800G) Datacenter interconnects.
