Keys for success: Discover Your Purpose; The Beginning of Your Business
The greatest Business man that ever lived discovered his purpose when He was 12 years of age. From 12 years He declared " I must be about my fathers business"; what a statement.
This was offcourse; Jesus Christ. From 12 years Jesus began his fathers business. Jesus lived only for 33 years of age. Started a business from scratch; built it up through twelve men that worked for him. He dies at 33 but his business doesn't die. Jesus mentored a man named Peter to take care of his business.
When He died He said these words to his mentee that was to take over his business; Peter; Do you love me? Peter says yes. He asks this question again, Peter do you love me? Yes; you know I love you. Jesus said; now tend my sheep. Take care of my sheep. Jesus dies Peter multiplies his business. 2000 years later; Jesus business is still booming.
Lessons that we can learn from Jesus's Model of Business success:
#1. Build your business upon your purpose - Like Jesus He modeled His business upon His purpose. He discovered his purpose then built his business.
#2. Have a small group of loyal employees and train them to takeover from you - Jesus mentored Peter to takeover the church(His Business).
#3. Cultivate an environment of trust among employees - Jesus created an environment of trust.
#4.Encourage a servant hood leadership among your group of trusted employees/mentees by serving them yourself - Jesus served these few guys that were working for him to show them how they should lead.
#5. When your employees betray you; don't pull them down and fire them when they come back to you sincerely apologetic and showing remorse. Give them a second chance - Peter betrayed Jesus. He denied him at a time when Jesus needed him most but Jesus understood him and gave him a second chance. Peter returned this trust by becoming a loyal mentee that was ready to continue Jesus vision.Peter became a great successor.
