The keys to the energy of the future

The keys to the energy of the future

Hello to all! We hope that the new year has welcomed you with good energy and that this year will be positive for both you and for the planet, which we would all welcome. We are pleased to introduce our newsletter, where we will offer a fresh perspective on the news about the energy transition, a detailed look at some of our most interesting renewables projects and a deep-dive on the cutting-edge innovation which is helping us to deliver a more sustainable and self-sufficient future for all.

Renewables, the solution to the double crisis

We have started 2023 with a positive outlook, and continued confidence in renewables, which is the only solution to the double crisis issues we are experiencing: energy and climate. One of the most impressive projects leading the charge is, without a doubt, the Tamega hydroelectric gigabattery in Portugal. A recent report in The New York Times explains both the challenges of delivering such an innovative project and the importance of pumped-storage hydro technology.?

Full steam ahead with offshore wind

Offshore wind is also key to boosting the necessary drive to energy self-sufficiency in the world and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. We already have 1,258 MW in operation and 5,500 MW under construction or secured with long-term contracts, which will be operational before 2027 thanks to investments of around 30 billion euros worldwide during this decade. Just recently, we have completed the first phase of construction of the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm, our fourth facility and a major milestone as we continue building the energy of the future.

Green energy around the world: Australia

We recently announced a new and important step towards a sustainable future in Australia! We are developing a #GreenHydrogen project with ABEL Energy that could see $1.1 billion investment. The plant in northern Tasmania, which will be one of the largest in the world, will produce 300,000 tonnes of green methanol for use as marine fuel. This is another sign of our strong commitment to the Australian energy market, where we will invest between 2 and 3 billion?euros with the aim of boosting the switch to renewables in the country and reaching 4,000 MW in the coming years.?

An exciting moment for the sector

We have achieved a lot, but we are aware that there is still much to do in 2023... and that's where our focus is!?We continue to strengthen our commitment to renewables and decarbonisation, backed by innovation and the best talent in the sector, with a record investment plan that enables us to develop world leading projects. If you would like to join our dynamic, professional, multicultural and diverse team, please check out our vacancies in the Employment Channel.

And our most viral video

And finally, we would like to share our most viral video of 2022, a (controlled) "madness" devised by our Digital & Social Media team, together with Spain’s leading skateboarder, Alejandra Salamandra. Watch as Alejandra takes on the challenge of descending at the speed of light through the Valdeporres wind farm in Burgos.

WWWOOOWWWW

That’s all for today. See you in two weeks! Let's continue leading the?#EnergyTransition?around the world. Thanks for your time.

Dear Sir , I innovated a new source of green energy..It is like compressed air to energy. But in my project ,there is no necessity of compressor or electricity. I will used automated compressed natural gas.Which is free of cost.It is a global project but only applicable for specific natural gas mining field. One plant capacity will be 1-4 MW.It will be 24 hours running plant. No need any battery. For detail ,interested green energy company can contact me directly.Thanks.Farid Ali David / Mail id is [email protected]
