KeyBank Neighbors Make The Difference Day - June 6th!
I'm excited to be working on the donation pick-up team for Washington County Habitat for Humanity on June 6th as part of Key Bank’s Neighbors Make The Difference Day! On June 6th, KeyBank will be closing the majority of our offices for 1/2 a day to donate thousands of hours in volunteerism to local charities and non-profits. Here's a little background on Habitat for Humanity. Most people don't know that every family receives 8 hours of credit counseling before being considered for a Habitat home. They also work 350-500 man-hours to help build and finish their own home. The Habitat credo is: "A hand up, not a hand out." One of the biggest means of fundraising for the Washington County Habitat for Humanity is their ReStore. Think of it as a consignment shop. Donations made to the Restore are sold and the proceeds are used to help other families in need get into affordable homes. Along with a bunch of my coworkers from KeyBank, I will be working on the donation pick-up team and we'd appreciate your support. Spring is finally here and it's the perfect time to clean out that back room, garage, and shed. Maybe you're tired of moving that old desk, heavy floor lamp, or the snowblower that you haven't used in 4 years. That's the type of stuff Habitat needs! If you have something of little value to you but has value to someone else, we want it. Message me with your address and what you have to donate. Note: We try to stay within a 15-mile radius of Washington, PA.
All donations are tax deductible. If you'd like to check out the Washington County Habitat for Humanity ReStore, the address is: 1001 East Maiden St. Washington, PA 15301 and the hours are: 10-5, Monday - Saturday. If you have donations to make but you're not able to have it ready by our June 6th KeyBank Donation Drive pick-up day, please consider reaching out to Habitat directly in the future. Their phone number is: 724-503-4416 Ext. 210
