Executive Roundtable on Employee Mental Wellbeing at Work

Key Themes from Executive Roundtable discussion on Reducing the Impact of Poor Mental health on Workplace Wellbeing in a Post-pandemic era.

Yesterday, we ran another engaging Employee wellbeing Roundtable for senior HR leaders in partnership with?CIPD-Cumbria &?Burnetts Solicitors?and these were the recurring themes and comments that came out of it:

????Reports that employees continue to cite burnout, stress, and feeling ‘unsettled’ and discontent affecting their productivity and mental wellbeing.

????They all agree that their companies recognise that mental health is still a concern.

????Middle managers are particularly at risk as they struggle to cope with increasing responsibility to support employees with stress-related challenges.

????When it comes to effective wellbeing strategies that work in a post-pandemic era, they’re unsure where to start.

????A lack of psychological safety at work is one of the core reasons why employees don't share their struggles or even use the resources provided to them.

????Senior leaderships are worried about opening the floodgate of mental health problems.

????They want to put in good strategies and not just join the ‘tick-box’ brigade but one of the biggest barriers stopping them from implementing is time.

Ngozi?and I are not surprised by any of the above it keeps coming up over and over again in these roundtable discussions.

In these sessions, we always share frameworks and strategies to help senior HR leaders figure out where to start based on the goals that their company may have for the next 6-12 months.

Thank you for your amazing insights and support yesterday?Anna Lovett?Kristina O'Donnell?Heather Grisedale, CCXP, Assoc CIPD, we're definitely looking forward to next month!
