Key to Success is Knowledge. Don't Share It Unless it is Rewarding

Have you come across people who ask you what that particular YouTube influencer is trying to convey?

Yes, some people are too lazy to understand important information and miss opportunities.

It is important to know that no one has all information and piecing together knowledge from various sources helps one to make informed decisions.

Herein comes the importance of avid readers or information gatherers. Yeah, people will try to take information freely from you. Don’t allow that to happen. There is an effort involved in decision-making or trying to monetize a particular knowledge. Don’t give that freely.

Then the question comes what should one do? First of all, the knowledge that or researcher should understand their USP comes from gathering information from various sources and creating a strategy, plan, or roadmap to gain key knowledge helpful for wealth creation.?

The information-have should also realize that due to his or her innate curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving forte skills, he or she helps in scripting success for an organization. That is why exactly those who have higher degrees may not be the one who helps in solving industry problems, but the ones with valuable information.

In wars, it may be about the knowledge of a particular troop having excellent logistics that helps in bouncing back. From the industry point of view, it can be the information on customer’s key pain points which the researcher understood through deep evaluation of reviews.?

It also can be information on obstacle management which hinders the growth of business. The manager or vice president of the organization will tell the juniors ‘Find out the research or field work’. But what matters here is recognition. What benefit does the information provider get while providing important information that helps in bringing out the product or helps in marketing the same?

Among the colleagues, you will certainly find ones who want free information that will help them to answer key questions in their everyday work. They are lazy execs who cannot concentrate on an important insight from an article, research paper, or video. They want it free.?

As a wise executive, keep such important information secret or politely tell them to search on their own. It requires comprehension, critical thinking, analysis, and effective use of such insights to survive in an industry.?

Of course, the days of lazy execs who ride piggyback on avid/insight workers are gone. But wise, smart working workers can be successful only if they keep important information within them or release it only if it is immensely rewarding to them.

The bottom line here is - that your forte lies in research or listening patiently to certain knowledge passed in social media, research sites, etc. Formal education doesn't help one solve problems or realize success. On the other hand, success happens through the application of knowledge derived from various sources. Therefore, don't reveal important knowledge lest you become irrelevant.
