A Strong Inner Urge

In effect, inspired action is triggered by?a strong inner urge, a pull towards bringing about specific outcomes that that are not only aligned with our goals, but also make a significant contribution to their realization.

My father used to tell the story of two girls who were playing on the way to school.? When they herd the school bell, one girl suggested that they stop playing and pray that they wouldn’t be late.?

In response, the second girl replied, “… no, let pray while we are running to school.”

Certainly the first girl was prepared to take action.? But the second girl was energized to take inspired action. ?Maybe this motivation came from her desire to maintain a flawless attendance record at school; maybe it was to avoid whatever punishment accompanied later arrivals.

Regardless of the specifics of what inspired the idea of praying while running something happened that turned her desire for an on-time into action.

More Effective & Efficient Actions By Applying Your Own Good Stuff

Even the best actions can be made more effective and efficient with the appropriate application of your own good stuff.

As is likely the case, you have many personality traits and characteristics that will help you take inspired actions.

The more focused and accurate you can make your inspired actions, the higher the likelihood of achieving your desired outcomes.

Also, by keeping your actions simple, you can increase the accuracy of your marketing actions and communications. Remember the old KISS adage: Keep It It Short 'n Simple?

It's a good guideline for inspired actions.

Acting smart is the natural outcome of working smart and not hard.

Working smart is working to achieve specific goals. Working hard is working to fill time and keep busy.

If you tend to work smart instead of just hard, you can expect much better results from your actions.

Make A Difference

Like heart-centered entrepreneurs, many service professionals want to make a difference in the world, more specifically in the lives and well-being of their clients.?

Those of us who care as much about the impact that we make on clients lives as we do upon the income that we generate for ourselves, typically want to do well by doing good.

From my experience, most heart-centered professionals would rather serve and help clients than look for new ones.? Many consider that marketing is a nuisance at best, yukky at worst.

But if we want a sustainable flow of revenue to pay the bills and earn a living, we all need a steady flow of fee-paying clients. ?And in order to generate and maintain that steady flow of clients we all need some form of marketing.

As a self-employed professional, you probably have a value service that can help make a difference in the lives of many clients.

But if you don’t market your services, how can you find those clients that you need, want and no doubt deserve?

Sure you can do the same copy-cat marketing as most everyone else in your industry seems to be doing.? But how is that going to help you find those clients whom you love to serve … and are really good at satisfying?

Instead of simply dreaming about the kinds of clients with whom you would like to work and make a difference, write down a profile of these clients.? Use whatever criteria you chose to help clarify their characteristics.

Now identify at least one action you can take to connect with at least of these clients.?

But don’t default to what your competitors are doing: make this your pray-while we-run-moment. ?

In other words, take inspired action to connect with those clients.

Let me know how that works out for you.
