Don’t Wait for Opportunity, Create it

Ten Years ago, I commenced my journey with Bayer (formerly Monsanto) as an intern, driven by the goal of gaining professional experience and accumulating credit hours for my bachelor’s degree in marketing. While it was uncommon for individuals to stay with the same company and progress from intern to manager, that's precisely the path I took!

From the beginning, my passion has been directed towards pursuing a career in the intersection of creativity and business. This preference towards led me to choose marketing as my field of study. However, what truly solidified my commitment was the revelation of Bayer's mission—a commitment to providing "Health for All and Hunger for None,” which showcased a perfect synergy of creativity and a meaningful purpose. In essence, it crystallized my belief that a career could be both fulfilling and purposeful.

As I reflect on my path today, I'm thrilled to share the evolution of my journey—from creating diverse posters to constructing the marketing strategy for the entire Middle East region. This progression has been marked by continuous learning, overcoming challenges, and personal growth, ultimately contributing to business expansion and enhancing customer and brand experiences.

Driving collaboration, inclusivity, and success

I vividly remember the passion of one of my leaders who fervently advocated for placing the proverb "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much" on the wall of our office corridor. Fostering relationships to drive influence has consistently been a cornerstone of my approach to project and campaign management.

I adopt a proactive strategy, consistently taking the initiative to be at the forefront of identifying opportunities, suggesting solutions, and implementing actions. I firmly believe that showcasing such a mindset serves as an inspiration for others to follow, encouraging them to actively participate in pursuing success.

As I grew in my role I recognized the power of building trust and fostering authentic relationships. By active listening, providing support and promoting trust and inclusivity. I rely on the network I've built and fostered a collaborative atmosphere within the team.

Being part of Bayer has not only enhanced my skills but has also been an environment that prioritizes employee development, recognizing and investing in individuals based on their achievements and adherence to core values. I've actively participated in numerous training sessions, utilizing the company's resources to enhance my leadership capabilities.

Success is a story of small wins

Looking Back at every move I made, I felt like painting on a canvas, each color representing a learning lesson or a skill I’ve acquired.

I can recall my contribution to several success stories that are very close to my heart; such as establishing and ensuring the vast development of social media channels for the Middle East region. In today's landscape, the impact of social media in achieving notable successes is undeniable.

Considering growers as our first priority, I am glad as well to be leading launches of several breakthrough varieties implementing customized strategies to align with the specific requirements of each country and drive business growth in the region.

?Finding the right Balance

In parallel to growth in my career, my family was also experiencing growth, In March 2022 I became a proud mother of Twins. As I dedicated time and effort to advancing in my professional life, I also made sure to invest in nurturing my family, which was not an easy task.

As time passed, I noticed that the dual growth strengthened my resilience, time-management skills, and ability to adapt. It enriched my life by providing different perspectives, experiences, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Maintaining a balance allows me to pursue my own career goals, personal growth and value my aspirations and ambitions outside of motherhood.

As I progress in my professional journey, I aim to set a powerful example for my children showing them that it is possible to balance both work and family life.

In conclusion, the pursuit of work-life balance is not just a quest for harmony between professional and personal spheres; it is a fundamental commitment to holistic well-being; it is a strategic investment in sustained happiness, health, and long-term success.
