With escalating rents, few mom and pop locksmith shops remain open in the Big Apple. Individuals who are in need of a key for residence, office, automobile, mail box or other purpose are often searching near subway entrances and shoe repair stores to locate a place to duplicate a key. KeyMe is a New York City based startup which according to their website is revolutionizing the locksmith industry. KeyMe allows users to store, share, and duplicate their physical keys using a digital scan that is secured in the cloud.
The KeyMe App allows you to digitally scan keys from our mobile device. The KeyMe Kiosk allows you to instantly make copies of your keys. It also allows you to securely store digital copies of your keys so that if you ever get locked out, you make a spare key at the kiosk.
