Recent studies have shed new light on the importance of well-being.?
Here are the key findings and what they mean for leaders and policymakers.?
A study published in the European Social Survey found that well-being is multidimensional, encompassing aspects beyond happiness and life satisfaction, such as competence, engagement, and positive relationships (Ruggeri et al., 2020).?
Another study highlighted that countries with higher well-being scores also showed higher life satisfaction and lower depression rates. Specifically, Denmark scored the highest in overall well-being, while Bulgaria ranked lowest (Ruggeri et al., 2020).
Reflecting on my own experiences, I’ve seen firsthand the benefits of a multidimensional approach to well-being.
