THE KEY TO GOOD LEADERSHIP-KNOW THYSELF
Melissa Baldwin
I specialize in helping leaders, parents, teachers, and therapists understand and apply somatic therapy. I can guide you in permanently shifting the negative nervous system patterns that keep you stuck.
There are all kinds of advice on being a better boss, creating a positive work environment, and keeping toxic people out of the workplace.
Executive coaches charge hundreds of dollars an hour to advise on creating the environment you want for a successful business.
Lots of this information is exciting and also repetitive, but if you want to be a leader that people listen to and respect, shouldn't you start with yourself?
What are your strengths, weaknesses, triggers, and emotional hot buttons?
How do you handle overwhelm in your nervous system? Do you run, fight or freeze?
What nervous system patterns from your past affect how you speak to people, react to obstacles, handle rejection and deal with difficult personalities?
Who you are, how well you know yourself, how keyed into your ego, and the daily awareness about these aspects that create you is imperative to good leadership.
To be a good leader, you must know when you are triggered and be able to shift your nervous system to neutral.
It would be best to dive into when your ego is controlling you and when you are touching a place inside that is more authentic.
A leader must be a good listener and ask questions that encourage productivity and connection.
Still, you cannot do that if you respond solely from your nervous system without intentional thought and choice.
If you want to be a good leader, I recommend having some Somatic tools to help you navigate yourself.
I can help you get to the next level of self-awareness so that you can lead without being hampered by your old thought patterns, behaviors, or beliefs.
Consultations via zoom or in person are always free.
