According to With Intelligence reports, there have been several significant movements and developments in the finance industry recently:
- Frontier Investment Management founder Michael Azlen's hedge fund has hired Ken Towers as COO, replacing Colin Hodges who left after over six years.
- Tolga Ediz, a former Moore Capital and Lehman executive, left Soloda to join Point72 to trade an emerging markets macro strategy. Nat Collins, Soloda's founding partner and COO, also left to join Jain Global in a senior operations role.
- Matthew Lee has rejoined PinnBrook Capital Management 18 months after leaving. He had been a PM at Eisler Capital and now returns to the $1.1bn hedge fund.
- Ning Jin, the Chief Investment Officer at Viking Global Investors, is leaving the firm after 17 years. Jin started as an analyst in 2007, rose to the role of co-CIO, and will officially depart on August 31
- James Murray, previously the CCO at Centiva, has joined Jain Global as deputy CCO in New York. This move is part of Jain Global's strategy to strengthen its legal and compliance teams with experienced hires from DE Shaw, Farallon Capital, and PAG
- Alpha Beta Investments founder and CIO Mohsen Chitsaz has closed the firm to join Eisler Capital as a PM in New York, focusing on systematic equities and ETFs. He managed around $200m at Alpha Beta over the past two years.
