The definition of Agile or Business Agility I feel most aligned to is: “Figuring out the most effective way of delivering an outcome within valid constraints”.
For this to happen we need to ensure that we increase the speed of flow of ideas between brains.
When we remove interference to thinking we are able to solve almost any problem and unleash our almost infinite capacity to innovate. To remove interference we need to remove external constraints (unrealistic expectations, unnecessary bureaucracy, outdated processes, and so on) and help our teams deal with their inner blockers (doubts, fears, uncertainty and so on).
To help achieve this we can consider, experiment with and adopt one or more of the Key Elements of Business Agility.?
Here is a brief summary of each Element, together with some thoughts on how each helps us to (a) figure out the most effective way of delivering an outcome within valid constraints, and help us to (b) increase of the speed of the flow of ideas of ideas between brains.
Chapter 1: Customer - Putting Customers at the Centre
