Key Diversity and Inclusion dates for 2023
Businesses of every size needs a Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategy. As organisations grow, so do their workforces and inevitably, the diversity of the employee demographic changes.?In truth, some businesses might not be aware of how diverse their workforce is.?
It can still be difficult for individuals to be open about their lives and bring their full selves to work for fear of discrimination. ?Most businesses have anti-discrimination policies in place, but these alone aren’t enough to create an inclusive workplace.
For all demographics, recognition, education, and celebration are important.?Employers have a responsibility to make their organisation as inclusive and welcoming to all individuals as possible.?Adopting simple resources like our Free Diversity Calendar are important first steps.?
This will help you become aware of the key dates throughout the year which will prompt D&I opportunities for your organisation to recognise.?Here are some key dates to be aware of in 2023.

Those that observe Ramadan fast between sunset and sunrise.?As the days in March and April are starting to lengthen, and the weather is getting warmer, fasting can be increasingly tiring. ?During this time, businesses can support colleagues by providing regular breaks, being mindful when organising ‘lunch’ meetings or events involving food and drink and educating the wider workforce about Ramadan and its importance.
