Being a software professional, I've observed something interesting: many people aren't eager to grow in their careers or move forward. Once they learn one technology, they often get stuck and stay in that comfort zone for a long time.
For example, if someone is working in application development, they might hesitate to learn DevOps skills, even though it's the next step to level up. If you're skilled in application development, why not expand your knowledge into areas like automation testing, DevOps, or cloud technologies? It's all connected, and it helps you grow.
If you're good at one thing, it makes sense to learn other related skills that complement your career. But don't limit yourself—learning anything new, whether directly related to your field or not, is valuable. I've met many people who've been in application development for years, but with the rapid pace of change in technology, you risk becoming obsolete if you don't keep up. If you're not upgrading yourself, employers may overlook you, and your skills could lose value.
But why do so many people resist investing in their own self-development?
From what I've seen, it's not entirely their fault. Many people, especially in the middle class, are dealing with significant life responsibilities. As someone from that background, I understand the struggles. Unfortunately, people often don’t prioritize self-development—they don’t fully grasp the importance of personal growth, self-learning, and self-awareness.
Throughout my career, I've met people with great potential and abilities, yet they’re unwilling to spend a single penny on their own development. They’ll splurge on material items—shopping, entertainment, parties—but hesitate when it comes to investing in learning or growth.
Why? It often comes down to fear—fear of losing money, fear of being scammed by so-called "self-development gurus." Trust is a big issue. It takes time for people to build trust, and even when I offer FREE webinars, many are too hesitant to join, even though it costs them nothing.
But here’s the thing—many people genuinely want to grow; they just need someone to guide them. I’ve spoken to professionals with 15-16 years of experience who aren’t getting what they deserve.

The root cause?
They're stuck in traditional ways of doing things—whether it's job searching, switching companies, or learning new skills.
Times have changed, my friends! I explain to them how tools like ChatGPT and AI are transforming everything. The old job-search methods are fading. Job portals alone won’t get you far anymore. Now, it’s all about personal branding—how you present yourself. LinkedIn is a powerful tool to connect with people and companies and find new opportunities. Once you build your personal brand, opportunities will start finding you, rather than the other way around.
Many people think personal branding is only for business owners, coaches, or consultants. But no, it’s for everyone—whether you're in a job, business, or entrepreneurship. There’s a saying: "Jo Dikhta Hai, Woh Bikta Hai," which means "what is seen is sold." If you can present yourself well, people will buy into you—whether it’s hiring you or purchasing your product. You need to become your own ambassador, showcase what you do, and highlight how you do it better than anyone else. That’s how you grow faster.
Adaptability is the key skill here. With AI evolving so quickly, we must learn and adapt just as fast, or risk falling behind.
So, remember this: Learn, implement, and grow. That’s the best formula to advance in your career and life.
Keep learning, stay positive, and keep moving forward.
Good luck!
