What Is Good Customer Service?
Providing good customer service IS a simple thing.
Good customer service is all about sending customers away happy - happy enough to give positive feedback.
How you approach customer service will determine whether that customer will recommend your company or service to others.
In essence good customer service is forming a relationship. It can lead to continued success and increased profits as well as making the customer more likely to recommend us to others.
Put the customer FIRST.
- Greet them in a friendly and professional manner.
- Be enthusiastic and ready to help.
- Establish rapport.
- Make them feel valued.
Treat people with courtesy & RESPECT.
? Every contact makes an impression. Make it a good one.
? Everyone appreciates courtesy.
? Do the right thing.
? KNOW and believe in your product and services. This helps to build customers’ trust and confidence.
? Create a positive experience for the customer.
? Pay ATTENTION! By the time a customer complains, their experience is often already ruined. Anticipate problems and prevent them.
? Tailor your approach to the individual customers needs and expectations.
- Keep Customers Updated - Handle all customers with a sense of urgency - Remember that to customers you are the company.
- Deliver all news, good or bad, in a timely manner.
- When dealing with a COMPLAINT, acknowledge the problem, determine the reason and identify the cause.
- Be solution focused and remember a complaint can be an opportunity!
? Always deliver exactly what is promised, on time or you will lose credibility with the customer.
? If you can’t deliver as promised, update the customer as soon as possible.
? Take ownership and responsibility for your actions.
And finally, remember that customer service is not a department....
