Kenyan Banks and their Twitter Use (Dis-use& Mis-use)

Recently while developing a social media strategy for a client I undertook a small research on the use of Twitter by Kenyan Banks, the results were quite interesting, let me summarize them as follows;

  1. The team running KCB Group Twitter deserve an immediate payrise....
  2. The teams running accounts for Co-op& Equity banks also deserve a pat on the shoulder...your accounts reach now rival the leading newspaper by circulation...
  3. Bank of Baroda, Stanbic, I&M& NIC, you are clearly punching above your weight, keep it up....
  4. Barclays, Stanchart, CBA, National, Jamii Bora& ECO, you need to put in more effort...
  5. ABC, Guaranty, SBM, UBA, Credit, Bank of Africa, Spire, Transnational, Consolidated, you may need to consider a new approach...
  6. Family, 1st Community, DTB, Prime& Middle East Bank, kindly tukutane pale nyuma ya hema
  7. Citibank, Dubai Islamic& Habib, Habib, having a local account distinct account from that other global one helps to focus communication to the local market...
  8. KWFT, Bank of India, Development, Guardian, Gulf Africa, HFCK, Mayfair, Paramount Universal& Victoria, having a twitter account has its merits....

KCB do very well on digital, actual customer experience is below zero. As a marketer, customer experience is King, and KCB is groping in the dark on this one??
