Kelce & The Taylor Swift Effect
Some say Swift is 'bigger than the NFL.'
While we can debate that, one thing's crystal clear: Her influence is colossal.
Kelce was already famous, but Swift's influence? It's undeniable.
TikTok's exploding with mentions of Kelce, totaling a staggering 3.5 billion views. In just 2.5 weeks since Swift's Chiefs game cameo, that number shot up by 2 billion.
That's more than a 3X bump than the 2023 Super Bowl.
Swift’s impact? It’s so immense that Kelce has outperformed even MrBeast.
Comparing #mrbeast & #traviskelce over the past month:
Notably, the demographic driving this trend mirrors Swift's.
89% of all views are Gen Z and 57% are female whereas T. Swift's viewership is 89% Gen Z and 72% are female.
While it remains to be seen if the relationship is destined to be "it's gonna be forever or it's gonna go down in flames" one thing is clear. Swift is a cultural phenomenon that's rewriting the rules of fame and leaving an indelible mark on the world of entertainment, sports, and internet culture.

Extremely Online
Taylor Lorenz's long awaited book, Extremely Online is now available to order.
Lorenz charts the rise of the creator economy revealing "how online influence came to upend the world, demolishing traditional barriers and creating whole new sectors of the economy. Lorenz shows this phenomenon to be one of the most disruptive changes in modern capitalism."
It's a pretty comprehensive overview - covering the early blogger and vlogger days through today.
Keith Bendez and I recently had her on the Creator Economy Live podcast and discussed the book (which you can listen to here ).
The book is definitely worth a read. You can pick it up here.
