#KeepMoving - it's all about the challenge!

Tomorrow morning I start a journey that will take me 32 hours by plane via Dubai and then Brisbane and finally to Fiji in the middle of the Pacific. Why am I going?

I'm going to take part in the inaugural Lost Island Ultra. This 220 km route is said to be brutal and the organisers have assured me that it will be significantly tougher than 2013's Amazon Ultra.

This is going to be a big challenge for me and I acknowledge and understand that there are risks involved. There will be pain, exhaustion, dehydration, 100% humidity and sun to name a few. However, it's the challenge that makes life worth living. I've been living with this disease for 10 years most probably longer but I am alive and capable and aim to do my very best. To complete the course irrespective of my Parkinson's.

I am not a slave to this disease. Nor should anyone be!

Why am I doing this? I'm doing this to prove that we are capable of so much more irrespective of the cards life has dealt us, to raise awareness of Parkinson's disease and the need for research coupled with fundraising, the most vital element...
