Keeping Your Light Bright

Keeping Your Light Bright

It is surprisingly easy to get caught up in the negativism that surrounds us. And when we reflexively echo that negativity back into the world, we're dimming our own inner light.

Sometimes we don't even realize how much we absorb the negative energy in our casual conversations, on the news, or in social media. We've got enough people in this world whose sole agenda seems to be tearing others down. But each time we fall prey to this way of thinking we're shrinking our own capacity for joy and growth.

There's something powerful about being around people who lift each other up even when they make mistakes. Their presence reminds me of who I want to be and how I want to show up in the world.?

How can we create more spaces — professionally and socially — where people can come and be affirmed, even in their difficult moments??
