Your team of doctors, nurses, and other staff members are the heart and soul of your clinic. And without a good team, you can’t grow nearly as far as you want.
This reminds me of the story of a client that we worked with a while back.
When they came to us, the client was facing some serious cultural issues. In fact, one of the doctors already had one foot out the door, about to leave the clinic for good.
If the doctor left, this could seriously affect the clinic’s finances. After all, the clinic offered many fee-based services.
Not only that, but the clinic’s non-consulting revenue was also in peril. And there were also other cultural and environmental problems present.
Combine all of these issues and you can see why the clinic was in big trouble. These problems threatened to make the clinic non-viable in the short term. They needed to be addressed… Fast.
To deal with all of these challenges effectively, the clinic owner sought our help. They needed coaching and guidance to ensure the clinic’s growth despite the issues.
And that’s exactly what they achieved.
When they joined us, the clinic had four rooms plus a pathology room. Our coaching helped to expand the clinic to eight rooms plus pathology.
Moreover, we managed to help the client increase their bottom line by leaps and bounds.
With the use of different tools, we helped the client retain that GP who was about to leave. They were also able to resolve all the culture and environmental issues at the workspace.
In terms of financials, our coaching enabled the client to secure a lower rent by $50k per annum. On top of this, the sublease values went up by $30k per annum.
We also worked on getting all of the rooms filled for the next 12-18 months, which resulted in a $480k return. Put all of that together and we’re looking at a net return of $560k per annum.
Much of this wouldn’t have happened if the client didn’t learn how to retain their best people. And in my next few posts, I’m going to show you how to attract and retain the best GPs for your clinic.
