Accountability within Learning
We believe in administering accountability into learning. Without accountability, there is no way to administer or keep track of progress. The national efforts taken into modern-day education reflect these beliefs. According to Science Direct, in ‘Social Sciences & Humanities Open’, “…nations have intensified the use of accountability system in education to enhance students’ academic achievement" (Parker, 2015). Whether accountability is measured for the learners, the facilitation, or the leaders - an accountability system addresses the areas of improvement, the areas of growth, & most importantly, the effectiveness of the coursework.?

The Leader Experience within Alchemy Vision:?
As mentioned in our previous article, ‘Ophthalmology Internal Supplementary Resources. Tapping into Your Internal Toolkit’, each practice is different. Each may have their own specializations, or areas of focus for their patients. Thus, the training they provide in-house for technicians must be personalized & tailored for equipment & protocols used.
Competencies are provided within our platform for our leaders to award badges to their team based on completion, practice, & mastery. In awarding competencies, you not only acknowledge the competencies for ophthalmic technicians, but you provide a transparent view of who is able to handle certain responsibilities & tasks (such as performing certain examinations with specific equipment)
e.g. You would like your technicians to learn how to perform Manifest Refraction. Based on the coursework completed & the experience they've gained through practice/ tests, you can award a badge of competency to visibly acknowledge their ability to take on future responsibilities in the future.?This is useful for the entire practice to see, & understand who's able to undertake certain responsibilities in case backup is required.
Under your management & accessible tools, leaders have the ability to create custom reports. Organize a personalized report either through specific courses, lessons, sessions, certificates, or enrollments. A custom report will provide you with the specific data you’d like to review.?
e.g. If you require your practice to complete certain coursework under your lead (History Taking), you can create a personalized report that will detail the progress your team has made on those specific requirements.?Upon creation, you will see which technicians have enrolled, started, & completed the 'History Taking' course.
**Extra tip: Although our curriculum allows room for exploration & self-enrollments, you are able to assign specific curriculums & courses you find necessary for your team! Each technician assigned will be notified & auto-enrolled to the course you've chosen.
You are the captain of your ship. When things get quaky, you are there to ensure that your boat is maneuvering smooth-sailing & progressing through the tide. You have a full 180, bird eye’s view of your learner’s progress through Absorb's LMS. Keep track of real-time percentage rates of each learner’s progress, the # of courses completed, & the # of courses enrolled in. You can also message them directly!
Gain momentum as your practice begins to master their coursework through assessments. Remain updated on their assessment scores & their # of attempts for required courses. With both tools in your kit, you are able to decipher the areas in which your team is excelling at, & where improvement is needed.
e.g. You are having trouble In deciphering why your practice is struggling with newly assigned responsibilities. Luckily, you have your Alchemy Vision toolkit. You take a look into your practices' course completion progress & assessments. You come to find - although your team has gone through the coursework required, they have struggled in passing the assessment various times.
Upon consideration of this observation, you reassign them the coursework & remain engaged with them.
