In 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our in-person activities stopped. Our team then decided to shift online to create the FREE ONLINE COURSES (FOC), formally launched on 7 April 2020. The FOC has grown to become one of the world’s leading free online learning programs and is an inclusive, accessible platform in the online cultural heritage sector, with over 7,000 enrollments, 300+ video lectures, and 35+ mentors graduated from recognized universities.?

Our courses are free, interactive, introductory, self-paced, equipped with qualified personal mentorship, and honor-coded to protect academic integrity. They are designed for anyone enthusiastic about Ancient and Cultural Heritage Studies, who can master essential concepts through fun assignments and quizzes. Upon successful completion, certificates are awarded on the recommendation of our mentors.

Visit our website to take a look at our courses!

Study with the best and most motivated mentors - this is an excellent opportunity to be taught by university graduates from different cultural backgrounds. Our mentors support their students throughout the course, and provide ample materials, recorded lectures, and even live sessions. Upon the completion of the course, mentors are awarded with verified certificates, endorsements on their LinkedIn profile, and recommendations on professional online platforms.

Check out our website to discover more about our community.

Although our?FOC team is working on a voluntary basis, we have created an online learning-at-home community of motivated instructors and enthusiastic learners, reaching five continents, and resulting in hundreds of enrollments worldwide.

During this third anniversary year, the SCHG is hosting a series of events and activities for students, mentors, and our community. We are also showcasing our project's past success?stories, video messages, and future plans on social media (YouTube | Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | TikTok)

In celebrating FOC's anniversary, we would like to acknowledge our volunteers, students, and mentors, and include their comments on the project as well.

Here are some comments from our mentors:?

"I have taught 2 courses, one in 2020 and one in 2022 and both experiences have been amazing. I found that the Save Cultural Heritage Group has been really supportive of what I really wanted to do with my courses and the ideas that I had. I could prepare and record my lectures, as well as create assignments and chat with students daily about a subject that I love so much".
"I think museums should be accessible and Save Cultural Heritage Group has made learning and teaching very accessible and very fun".
"I would definitely recommend working for the Save Cultural Heritage Group. You get to work with a great group of people who know so much about anything or everything really".

"It was my first course at SCHG, and it made me want to take more! Such an enriching experience that deepened my knowledge of cultural heritage".
"Loved the wealth of materials that was provided. I learned so much about antiquity and archaeology! Will there be a part two?".
"The course was fantastic! The instructor was very knowledgeable and provided an insight into museums around the world, and their importance in conserving valuable history".

We happily extend the invitation to join us in celebrating the 3rd anniversary of our inclusive and accessible FOC project, by reposting it on your profiles or leaving a comment below with words of appreciation.
