Keeping Up with Battery Passport Developments ??

If you are following the development of the Digital Product Passport, it shouldn’t come as news that the EU Council adopted the Battery Passport regulation on July 10, 2023.?
The European Council announced that starting from February 1, 2025, any industrial or electric vehicle (EV) battery with a capacity exceeding 2 kWh in the EU market will have to submit certain information about the battery materials, carbon footprint, etc.
The battery passport will be required from February 18, 2027.
This new battery passport system aims to promote transparency, sustainable design, responsible recycling, and safety.?

So far, it has been determined that the battery passport regulation will require the economic operators (those putting the batteries on the market) to submit over 90 data points to comply.
