Simplicity is one of my core values.?
I like to simplify things for myself and others whenever there’s a situation.?
And I bring this value to my business to help my clients simplify their businesses.?
Let me share my 5-step marketing and sales process to help you create more coaching clients, without any additional stress.
Disclaimer — Beware. You may lose your self-created pressure after reading this post. Only if you choose to.
Step 1 — One-time?set-up
Here’s a checklist for everything you need to get started as a one-time set-up.?
Pick a platform.
Focus on ONE platform to get started.?
If you love writing, pick LinkedIn, if you’re more into visuals, pick Instagram. Choose one, and move to the next step.
Optimize your?profile
Mention your niche.?This post?will help you pick a niche.?
Put up a decent profile picture. Write your about-me section.?
Note — All these can change and evolve over time. For now, we need to get started and cut all the initial resistance we might be having.
Step 2 — Start sowing the long-term seeds
Create content.?
Start showing up creatively and consistently.?
Your content will help you create authority, and recognition, and even build a connection with your future clients.?
What kind of content to create?
Share about yourself, your coaching, your clients, your experience as a coach, etc.?
Remember — We aim to simplify things, and not try to make them perfect.
Step 3 — Taking the first?step
Most coaches start creating content and they wait for others to approach them.?
What if we shift our focus to taking the first step??
Start conversations. Connect with more people and talk to them.?
Send DMs. Connect with those people who have similar interests as your ideal clients. Like, they must be following the same pages or hashtags.
This isn’t a recommendation to be spammy.?
This is an invitation to shed your ego and reach out to build connections.?
Step 4 — Creating good?karma
Make invitations to your connections. Invite them for a coaching conversation.
“Would you like some help with that?”?
This single question would help you turn casual conversations into coaching conversations.
The opportunities are endless from here.

You could ask them to set up a time and invest time in their growth.
Give them an experience of coaching, before you sell.
Let them invest their time and energy first before you ask them for financial investment.
Remember the mantra >>>
Serve first.
Sell later.
Step 5 — Offering possibilities
My intention in a sales conversation is to offer them hope and possibilities — AND help them let go of stress and pressure.
I’ve stopped doing fear-based / scarcity selling.
No, I don’t want to offer discounts only if you sign up right now.
I don’t want to say, “I only have limited slots available”.
Well, I have a couple of slots available. You can take your time to decide.
I’ve done pressure selling.
And I don’t really feel aligned with these processes anymore.
I realized when someone wants to work with me, they are already overwhelmed, tired, and stressed.
So, I don’t wish to put them under more stress or pressure by doing this kind of sale.
You wish to take a week to decide? Sure, take some time.
You need some answers first? Sure, ask. I’m here.
You don’t have money?
What can you afford?
If you’re really serious to work,?apply for the scholarship?to work with me.
You can choose to?sell authentically.?
Conclusion?
Most coaches try to make things sophisticated and perfect.?
What if you and I try to cut through the initial resistance and make things super simple for ourselves and our clients??
Choosing simplicity is a mindset game. Yes, you can choose to make things simple.?
And you’ve already learned how to make marketing/sales easier for your coaching business?
Enjoy!
