Keeping the Holiday Vibe at Work: 3 Tips to Stay Relaxed

Returning to work after a relaxing holiday can sometimes be overwhelming, but with a few simple strategies you can maintain that relaxed state of mind.

  1. Avoiding Stress Overload? After a rejuvenating holiday, it's essential to prevent stress from seeping back into your daily routine. Prioritize tasks, delegate when necessary, and remember to take five minutes for deep breaths when feeling overwhelmed. This mindful approach will help maintain a sense of calm amid the workload.
  2. Take Breaks and Go for a Stroll?Incorporating short walks into your workday can work wonders. Stepping outside and getting some fresh air can help clear your mind, boost creativity, and reduce stress. Even a brief stroll around the block can provide the mental break needed to maintain a relaxed mindset.
  3. Personalize Your Workspace?Setting up a serene workspace can make a significant difference. Consider placing a photograph on your desk of a person, place, or even a beloved pet that brings you joy. Whenever you glance at it, you'll be reminded of the happy moments, helping to keep stress at bay and maintain a positive mindset.?

By integrating these simple practices, you can effectively transition from a restful holiday back into the work environment while preserving that much-needed relaxed state of mind.

Hi Marianne, Thank you for your post and wise reminder. As a #coffeelover and natural networker, here are my two cents: I also try to set up virtual and face-to-face coffee breaks with colleagues and friends to share holiday experiences and good vibes. Tip: put quality time into it—be ready to listen and share. It’s a great way to ease back into the work routine while keeping that relaxed holiday spirit alive, as Marianne wisely reminded us. In my experience, you always learn something new when reconnecting with your peers and friends and exchanging our stories. PS: It is nice to see the reply rom Jean Corbel ! Hope you are doing well my friend.
