Keep On Getting 'AI Content Detected'? - Here's What You Need To Do!

Drumrolls!!!!

You all loved playing with it, and now it's playing back with your emotions. Don't take me otherwise (achcha lelo!), but most of us have used ChatGPT and other AIs one way or the other. Either ask it to write a joke, or create an extensive copy for your client, be honest -- you have used it, right?

And now, when you actually are working for a client -- doing hard research -- writing with all of your heart -- going up and beyond in content research and development, and on your client's request, you go ahead on tools like Copyleaks to check the content and BAMM!!! "AI-Content Detected."

  • You swear to God that you wrote the entire thing on your own!
  • You show your research materials!
  • You show how you managed to find that unique perspective...

But, your client... Ahem! Nopes! It is AI Content! Go and rewrite it!

Did I just describe you and your current ordeal? Is this happening with you as well? Because it is happening with a few of my writers, and they have a very hard time moving ahead with it.

So, before I give you a way how to tackle this situation, let me give you some basic updates about us.

I am assuming that there are a few of you who are reading 'Viraj Bolta Hai' for the first time, and this is how I proceed with my newsletters -- I give a little insight about my life, and then I talk about the topic in hand! Why do I do that? Because I can :D

Ever since my last newsletter, damn, it's been over a month now, life has been filled with ups and downs:

  • After I posted a job opening, my email was flooded with applications. I got the privilege to speak with some of the finest talents out there, and I felt so freakishly bad when I couldn't hire all of them! We ended up hiring two full-time writers and also onboarded one intern. Let's see when we have the next opening for you all. I hope by this month only :D // This 'hope' changed to 'yes' -- I am going to drop some of the previously shortlisted candidates a message by today or tomorrow.
  • We at CJ also onboarded two new clients last month. I am so proud of my team that they understand our requirements and always do the right thing!
  • At Satvic Foods, we have had one of the most successful months. Through content writing, WhatsApp/Email marketing, and Meta Ads, we surpassed our last year's entire turnover in just one month! Yup, in just one month! I have also started teaching Shopify Marketing to my interns now -- hoping one day they will share a similar case study with me.
  • After I got the 'Top Voice in SEO' badge on LinkedIn, I got a total of nine consultation calls from the companies and founders to a website audit for their website. I might write a newsletter for that one as well. I don't know. I am unsure.
  • Caesar and Joey's health is a little better now. Thank you to all who came forward and constantly enquired about their health. You, my friend, are a godsend!
  • I am also planning to introduce a paid newsletter that will consist of international leads for all. Do you think you would be interested in that? How much do you think I should charge for it? Put that in my DM, and I will think it through with my team.

Now, if you stayed here after 500 words, let me tell you what you should do if some stupid AI tool is saying that another stupid AI tool has written your content -- but in reality, it was you who bled on the screen!

  1. Remember that AI can create generic content. Most of the time, the content lacks emotions, personal angles, opinions, and even empathy. If you can add them to your content, please go ahead and do that! I know sometimes, even then, the content will come as AI-generated, but after adding some personal story or opinion, you can at least tell this your client that IT IS YOUR STORY, and it is you who have this particular empathy for this subject. What I mean to add here is that you have to present the content with your human side! Saw how I started this newsletter?
  2. One of my writers uses very straightforward language in her content. I have advised her on multiple occasions, but I think that such a tone comes naturally to her. Recently she submitted an article which she took around three days to write. We did check in the premium version of Copyleaks -- and -- AI content! I think that felt like a slap in the face! Thankfully, I know she will never use AI to create any content. I checked the piece and rewrote a couple of lines, and that passed the AI text! I am not saying who is better here, but what matters here is the fact that you have to ensure that your writing does not sound too robotic and should not have repetitive tone/words/phrases/adjectives [ChatGPT always uses Effortlessly and Seemlessly].
  3. Do you know about AI Hallucination? It is related to AI quoting texts and phrases from places that do not even exist! If you quote phrases or paraphrase content, then ensure that you are not into Writer's Hallucination! You should add your expertise to your writing by being an expert yourself or even reaching out to people who have some expertise in that domain.
  4. I have realized one more thing about AI content. It is good for creating 'What' content -- What is this! What is that? What to do? What not to do? And so on!! But I think it lacks proper knowledge when it comes to creating the 'How' content, like How To Do This? How To Do That?

  • Focus Less On What To Do When iPhone Fails In Front of Girlfriend?
  • Focus More On How To Setup Girlfriend's Picture As Wallpaper?

5. Lastly, you can never go wrong with the following:

  • Analytical heading
  • Stats based on your research
  • Human Emotions

I always say this to my interns, teammates, and participants who join my writing and client acquisition sessions, AI is here to stay and is not going anywhere. The only way forward is to upscale yourself in the right direction! And if you don't understand, how... you know what to do!!! :D

Until later... Hopefully, the next newsletter won't be delayed as this one!

Pinky Promise!

Viraj Mahajan Just want to add my piece. This is only speculation, not a claim. The tips that u suggest, are short-term (by that I mean upto the next 5 years). Bcz AI will eventually learn to write that way too. That's how it works, right? By gathering the data given in.

Viraj Mahajan Or is it that there's no way to do that due to the saturation of data bcz of so many writers using AI tools? No matter how hard we work to write the stuff by ourselves, if AI is wrongfully detected, we need to write again to bypass?

Viraj Mahajan I like the tips, but they're only about bypassing these check tools. Isn't there a way to accurately prove (that's ofcourse coz I haven't indeed used AI at all) that the content isn't AI generated in the first place?

To be honest fine newsletter that I completely read without being bored after a long time. ?? I'll give that to you!Viraj Mahajann ?? While ChatGPT has enhanced the productivity, it has made things equally difficult for us writers, in terms of detecting AI Content. Even I face similar issues while checking content pieces of my writers. It's easy to just make some tweaks here and there to pass through but it really consumes time. Not to forget that with the increased number of AI-dependent writers in this saturated market, it's hard to find great talents(again it's a time consuming and stringent process). Would love to know how you sieve a pool of AI writers to find the best talent who are truly worth it in this AI-driven marketing world.
