KEEPING THE DREAM ALIVE!

As we head into 2024, I thought it approrpiate to offer some words of encouragement to everyone. I have had a very haphazard couple of years but now I am retired, my plan is to really focus on the things that are important to me and that includes my writing. I am already starting to plan how to take my career forward and part of that comes from the realization, and acceptance, of the fact that I am very unlikely to become a household name or a writer dripping in wealth. But I do know I have a huge amount to offer others in the way of support, inspiration and encouragement with their writing. It is something I have always found the most fulfilment from. Having run classes and workshops for all age-groups, having founded a children's creative writing group, having been invited to write articles about writing and do talks at schools and writing groups, I know this is where I really shine. Even my childrens' book MY WRITER, published in 2014, had that at its core. If you want to write, then write. If you enjoy it, just do it. Publication is the cherry on the cake. The cake itself is the writing. Enjoy a huge slice in 2024 and savour every bite! Good luck!
