Austin has long been known for its live music, mouth-watering barbecue, and vibrant culture. More recently, it has gained recognition for being a bustling hub for startups and innovation. With its business-friendly policies, a talented pool of tech-savvy professionals, and an unbeatable quality of life, Austin's startup scene offers unique opportunities for budding entrepreneurs and investors alike.
As a "California Transplant" who moved to Austin in 2016, I have witnessed the city's growing popularity among investors and entrepreneurs. Many of my contacts from my West Coast and East Coast networks have since made the move to the Texas capital, and I have happily introduced them to the local ecosystem.
To save some time, I have put together this guide as an introductory tour of the Austin entrepreneurial ecosystem. Please feel free to contribute to these lists through your comments, and I will be sure to update this article regularly with new information.

1 年Great article! Very helpful, especially for founders that are new to Austin or founders who want to visit from abroad. In addition to the Texas Venture Crawl that CS Freeland mentioned, you should also add the monthly FIESTA events organized by Cherie Werner and the rest of the crew very helpful to make connections. Personally, I found them extremly helpful during my time in Austin.

1 年Nikos this is really clean, WOW! Could we add the Texas Venture Crawl: Oct 6th 2023 (Austin location) on there as well for events? Last year's ended up being 1,300 people so we're doing this statewide in 10+ cities, while still having the original one here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/texas-venture-crawl-austin-tickets-527919299837
