Looking after your mind is equally important as looking after your body. I am sure you heard about Placebo Effect. It means that you know how mind affects physical health. Bearing in mind this, we should conclude that keeping our mind healthy is much more important.
Mindfulness is one of the techniques that helps keep your mind healthy. It simply means to live current moment hear and now. This can be very calming, allowing worries and regrets to be left aside, especially when you practice meditation.
We think about many things at the same time and sometimes we can’t concentrate. Mindfulness helps to live the moment and helps to get rid of anxiety, depression and stress.
It is usually related to a particular attitude with curiosity, openness and acceptance. If you are open to actual experience, free from prejudices and are not overreact, you practice mindfulness.
If you want to improve your mindfulness, you should mediate, concentrate on one thing at a time, keep healthy life-style and spend time on nature.
In addition, YOU can develop your mindful rituals. For me such rituals are walking and reading in silence and keeping gratitude journal.
