Keep your Capital safe!!!

An Open letter to Abid Hassan , CEO of Sensibull, soon to be the Best Options Trading Platform in the Whole Wide World!

Dear Abid,

As a long-time follower of your highly successful body of work, awesomely useful knowledge-sharing sessions and outrageously rib-tickling random musings,

I have always found your sparkling sense of humor really enjoyable and your genuinely down-to-earth attitude truly inspirational, as you go about dissecting the vicissitudes of market, life, and beyond for all the uninitiated Option Trader Twitteratis like me!

With the holiday season upon us and that too with the markets scaling new life-time-highs day after day, I thought it would be an opportune moment in time for me to write out a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ note to you and your highly accomplished team @Sensibull, for all that you guys have been to us.

Yes, it all seems like yesterday, when in the December month of last year, right around this time, I exercised one of the finest Options that I ever came across in my fledgling Options Trading journey to become a ‘Fully Paid’ member of the Sensibull platform.

Now when I think about it, all I had going for me at the time was just your handsome face coming up every night on a YouTube channel near me and asking me “Kya Lag Raha Hai Market?”, and your husky voice telling me in the end, as a sincere daily affirmation: “Keep your capital safe”! All well and good, but unfortunately, I was totally clueless on how to go about doing it!

From there on, the last year or so has all been about learning 'How to get it done', with Sensibull being the biggest piece in solving that involved, intricate puzzle for me, day in day out.

For starters, your ‘Award Winning’ Option Chain, which maps out the entire Put Call Universe of all the F&O Stocks and Indices, at the slight click of a single button, showing all that you ever wanted to know about Options including Price, Volume, Implied Volatility (IV), Put Call Ratio (PCR), Option Greeks, Open Interest (OI), ‘Probability of Profit’ and what not,

All in an intuitive, easy to use, self-explanatory interface is a minor miracle in itself, if there ever was one.

Then there is the major miracle in the form of ‘Live Options Charts’ which went live recently, charting out the Last Traded Price (LTP) and the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) of the Straddle that is currently ‘At The Money’ (ATM) at any given point of time; one that automatically keeps pace with all the gut-wrenching ATM changes brought about by the umpteen gyrations and the unforeseen volatilities of the underlying’s, these days. A veritable godsend indeed!

Even better is when you learn that, right below, you can add any Straddle or Strangle of your own choice and do the very same level of tracking for them, not to mention the detailed charts that appear underneath mapping the continuous changes that are happening on OI, PCR, Max Pain Point, IV, IV Percentile, Futures OI etc. etc.

If all of that is not good enough to keep your Capital safe, then I guess the only OPTION remaining, might be to delete all your Demat Accounts and go back to some good old FDs or something. Yes, that’s how good, I find this page to be!

Then comes the ‘Strategy Builder’ which does kick some serious A$$ in how it lets us run our imaginations wild, as we play with all sorts of wild and domesticated animals, birds, insects, reptiles and then some, in our attempts to Spread the Bulls, Bears, Butterflies, Iron flies, Condors, Lizards etc. etc., where Sensibull does all the Mathematical, Statistical and Probabilistic heavy lifting all by itself,

Leaving us commoners sweating only whether our Risk/Reward ratios are fair enough, our Pay Off values are sweet enough, our break-even margins are safe enough and our Option trading ambitions are wild enough!

Amidst all this wilderness, the ’Multi Strike OI’ comes in as the real classic in how it allows us to focus on the ever-vibrant action that is happening at the most active Call and Put strikes and how the OIs on them are building up nicely over the course of the day or the week.

As Abid, you yourself are so fond of reminding us in your daily sessions,

“We need to shamelessly copy from the toppers of the class, if you ever want to make money in the rough and tough Derivatives game”

And true to the spirit of those golden words, Sensibull is able to point us in the general direction of where all the movers and shakers of the market are getting together and getting ready to party, and from there on, keeping our capital safe becomes as easy as going over there and saying ‘Hi’.

Now don’t get me wrong when I say that I am not the kind of guy who will go all out to keep my capital safe at all times. No Siree Bob!

So, virtual trading is not for me, and the only paper trading that I will ever do will be with papers that have our RBI’s governor’s signature on it, and my father from another mother, Mahatma Gandhi’s picture on it. But still, I have heard a lot of good things about Sensibull’s ‘Virtual Portfolios’ and how you guys have a lot of goodies coming down the pike that will spice up this feature even more in the not-so-distant future, and so good luck with that as well!

Having said all of that, the single most exciting thing that you guys have ever built, still remains to be #VerifiedbySensibull, taking the battle right into the FF&F (Fake Finfluencers & their Followers) camp, thereby allowing us to separate wheat from the chafe, in this high-stakes game of getting rich without ever getting up from our A$$, or what colloquially goes by the euphemism of ‘Trading’.

These days, not even a single day goes by, without random people appearing on my newsfeed with their spectacular #VerifiedbySensibull progress reports, and honestly, I have never felt so happy at other people making money, ever in my life; a sentiment that is more of a true testament to the amazing talent, transparency and helpful nature that these people have established themselves for! Sensibull no doubt has a lot to be proud of in enabling such a thriving ecosystem for us in such a nascent domain!

Now even after all the reams and reams of newsprint that I have wasted here in writing out my Sensibull Ramayana, my epic story will not be finished, unless and until I tell you about that one day when I got up from my plastic chair and screamed out loud:

“Woo… Hoo… That's it, I am not going to pay even a single penny to Sensibull anymore!"

Yes, it was one of those gloomy days towards the end of July. Nifty as always had risen in the west and was about to go down somewhere south, when our man from up above Nithin Kamath rose up and proclaimed thus:

“Sensibull will now be completely free!”

Wow!!! I knew this man happens to be a multi billionaire and stuff, but isn’t he setting a bad example here by not worrying about keeping his capital safe, and going for broke instead, saying insanely motivational things like:

“We want to Help Option Traders do better!”

Right then and there I realized that my Sensibull Option has finally Hit the Money, but still was quite unsure as to whom to reach out to, whether they will give me cash or I have to settle for store credit and all that kind of complicated, commercy stuff.

Lo and behold, within a day or two, I get a mail from Sensibull, asking for my account details and my prorated subscription amount outstanding was promptly credited back to me, with no prodding, no follow-up required whatsoever!

If this is the kind of customer service you guys give us, when you are tracking us down, to pay us money, I am sorry, I have no more words left to praise you and am stopping my unnecessarily long story right here, right now!

Needless to say, these days I’m living Happily Ever After, knowing full well that Sensibull will always be there, right beside me, holding my hands, when I am about to make my stupid bets, and that’s how I know,

My capital will always be safe!
