Keep walking

Three years ago, a good friend of mine started his own YouTube channel. Despite the busy schedule, he committed to sharing insights so that people can learn and grow. I was inspired by his action, and I decided one day I will start mine too. Then Covid-19 hit, I knew it was the right time to make the best out of the lockdowns. So, the channel ideasXecution was born and the podcast Insights Sharing was created a few months later.

Today, our channel hits another milestone. We’ve got 1.000 videos uploaded. For us to do that, we had to record more than 10.000 videos. Even more. When I look back at that journey, we have learned a lot through the process of doing and finetuning. We have gained many different skills and strengthened our creative muscles. But one thing I really enjoy is that it helps me to see the importance of being persistent. During those many days of doing, we got countless times that people told us to stop. We got many words of discouragement. We were asked in challenging tones instead of the supportive ones. Our whys were put to the test.

But we kept on doing what we wanted to do. One baby step a day, then one day when we look back at the journey, wow, how beautiful it has been. And on your journey, my dear friends, you will face challenges. You will meet people who don’t understand your whys and will tell you to stop. You will hear the little voices that tell you to give up and to pursuit something else. Don’t listen to them. Find strengths and continue to show up. Showing up consistently says a lot about you and one day you will get to where you want to. Believe, and continue your path. Nothing worthwhile comes easily.?
